That summer of March when the scorching heat of the sun kissed their skin as they walked their way to school. Everyone braced themelves as the entry to learning opened, trying to squeeze in just to get inside the school on time. It’s hot but having a little gossip with their friends while waiting for the students to empty the rooms was enough to make up for that. Nothing beats the satisfaction of having a sip of hot tea.
That summer of March when everyone anticipated and put tons of determination in learning basic steps in dancing for the most awaited and memorable promenade. Some even bought and prepared their flashy attires weeks before the day of the event. Daydreaming about their crushes asking them out to be their partner is one of the many things that made it more exciting.

LAST
How long has it been since our last dance? Do you still remember it? The experience you left is still limpid. Reminiscing that day makes my mind keener as I clearly remember all the things that we made. Tell me, do you still have it in you? The warmth sensation we shared through each other. Funny how we managed to steal the spotlight that day. Time does fly way faster than we thought. How I wish to be with you forever, but time doesn’t last long on how we would like it to, so we better not waste every second that passes

Magnificent
The elegance of a solemn purpose…
As I take my Equanimeous steps into this marvelous event, there goes the wind running through my flesh; supporting my handful intentions and sincere motives which will serve as my weapons to compete. Keeping my chin up as confidence pours into my dedicated soul. Preparing for a glorious moment in which I will be able to reveal my fearless figure to influence and convey my significant message towards the crowd which in a short while, I will be exposed to.

As I open my eyes, I stared blankly at the void, feeling nothing but anxiousness. Stuck in the cycle---cycle of torture, getting sick and frustrated each day…
“Alex! Wake up, you’ll be late on your classes if you don’t---”
I heard mom head out the room and closed the door.
“It’s seven in the morning already? It felt like just an hour of sleep…” I whispered then heaved a heavy sigh. I checked my phone for updates about our classes, only the links have been posted.

Streetlamps bear the burden of being on its own during the darkest of times, trying to stand firm and shine brightly---wanting to concede in the battle of who knows what waits beyond. Tell me, is it the virus that everyone is afraid of or the pain and suffering one must endure through each day?

Outraging number of the pandemic threat already cut opportunities for the resume of classes this school year. With the resistant stand of the Department of Education to recommence classes by August 24, opening with the economy while stabilizing the public health is proceeding with a real deal. Until and unless the curve has flattened, academic freeze is the top resort.
