With Brgy. Ginebra holds its 3-1 lead over TNT in the best-of-seven series, the athletic 6-foot-9 Aguilar let it known that there were no glimpse of hope of the titular bout to carry on the series into game 6 in the way he delivered.

Aggression all throughout the game, Aguilar managed to stretch 32 points on a 66-percent clip from the floor, he also had nine rebounds, three steals, and two assists to face triumph over tropang Giga.

“Just very happy na we did it,” expressed his gratitude to his teammates, and coaching staff, “I wanna give credit to Talk N Text sa paglaban nila. Alam namin na they’re down in terms of injuries pero ready talaga sila. Lumaban sila hanggang huli,” added Aguilar, who won his first title with TNT in the 2012 Philippine Cup.

On the other hand, the half part of the duo is the 36-year-old LA Tenorio that waited for this moment to come as the perpetual trophy that was the only team missing on his five championship on top of his plethora of other awards in other conferences in the league.

Being calm and collected was best exemplified by him in the series as the 5-foot-9 point guard fired 10 points, including his game sealing free throws in the 82-78 clincher, he also gathered six assists, two rebounds, and a steal which causes him to claim the finals MVP for the fourth time.

All Filipino lang ipinagdasal ko, binigyan pa ako ng bonus, uttered by the grateful Finals MVP Tenorio.

The 14-year league veteran gathered 13.6 points, 6.2 assists, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.2 steals in the series.

For the Aguilar and Tenorio tandem they described their win in a fortunate time as both of them came from an injury as Aguilar struggled to gain back his old form while Tenorio suffered from Laparoscopic Appendectomy weeks before the season start.
